I guess I'll find out if the SP2 tools install or if they give me an installation error. I'm guessing a lot more has changed than we are being told. The deplyment tools and sysprep tools on the SP3 ISO seems to be the same as the one we had in SP2 dates have changed but this doesn't mean anything!
I thought some smart guy at MS would correct this but alas, the opportunity was missed again! I don't understand why microsoft would remove this feature. I was almost done 1 out of 6 images I have to build with SP3 but when I connected it to the domain and logged in as myself.. Back to scratch where we have to copy over the admin profile. I was thrown off on this also. If you want to use your local Admin profile as the Default profile on sysprep images, just ensure you have the following in your sysprep.
With SP3 they reverted back to pre SP2 model.. With some applications for example, the AutoDesk suite , using the local admin profile as the default users profile causes some serious issues. Having the option, or the control, as to how the default users profile is setup, is a much better option than not having the choice I'm finding that the SP3 Sysprep is overwriting the Default User profile so that it no longer holds any changes made to it prior to Sysprep.
