Auto-balance lets you use different sized plates without making any manual adjustments for correct drum balance. All you do is select the type of plate you want to use and the PlateRite S and PlateRite E automatically make the necessary adjustments to create perfect drum balance for each plate size. The PlateRite S and PlateRite E also feature separate loading and unloading bays, so that one plate can be readied for loading while another is being exposed.
This reduces wasted expenses and improves the operational efficiency of your platesetter. It does this by performing two types of punching for press and platesetter registration at the same time, immediately before mounting the plate on the drum.
This method gives much greater registration accuracy compared with either manual or off-line punching, eliminates human error and achieves faster press makeready. Punch blocks from Heidelberg, Komori, Bacher, Protocol, Stoesser, Grapho Metronic and Screen are available, covering the full range of sizes for all major press types.
Up to four punch blocks can be mounted and selected according to plate size and press type. The plate may stuck in the machine for many reasons, but see if it not above the front grippers and under the clamp bar. If it is there please try with another batch of plates. Take care Michael. Ironheadmike New member. I know this post is old but how did you solve the problem? We have the exakt same problem and the technician doesn't really know what the problem is! When we had the error, we called tech supponrt, and the phone tech had us follow a procedure that started with using both thumbs to touch the small monitor, one on each side, near the middle of the outside edges, at the SAME time, which brought up a new screen that - we can't remember anymore what to do next, but eventually led to resetting the machine.
This touching-both-sides-with-the-thumbs procedure seems to ONLY work during an error message. As far as passwords go, there was a discussion when our machine was installed, which led us to select , as I didn't want to get very far away from the default.
Good luck, and be careful! Roberto Leon Member. Try You must log in or register to reply here. Similar threads B. Benjamin Taylor Mar 6, Screen. Replies 4 Views May 22, Benjamin Taylor. Replies 0 Views Apr 24, noelward.
