We leverage the existing infrastructure and enable them to surface new notifications and actions. In addition, the cloud could initiate an account remediation action like a password reset since the MSA would be at risk. Windows Charms: They work across different apps and allow you to share files quickly and easily. This is a nice perk. This is how I found the start screen… I think… I would equate it to a lifesaver amongst the hurricane-but then again; I took it!
Search screen: Windows 8 has made a search screen available. I tried to search for windows 7 but no luck. Feeling like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz I want to go home, I want windows 7 ; I was able to search inside any application, even my social apps. This contextual feature is a nice to have! This will allow Windows to compete with Android and iPad tablets. This is a great option and new apps are always being added.
Now, in addition to all the apps, I purchase for my Mac and iphone, I have a whole new place of noncompatible apps to purchase. I hope my kids do not notice this. Although as a side note, my techno-savy kids have abandoned the nice new PC with Windows 8. Surely that means something. Windows 8 cloud integration: Interesting, cloud integration-again sounds familiar.
Now you are allowed to sync data to SkyDrive-, in addition to data you can, also save your settings. Windows 8 has offered us many new features to compete within the marketplace. Is it just me?? Has my frustration of learning new technology finally reached its breaking point? I would not say that. I loved Windows 7. There was nothing wrong with it. Oh sure, it would be nice to have new features.
I understand the need to compete, but that does not mean to duplicate. It means to stay original to the users that loved you. I can appreciate the differences between my PC and Mac. Like red and white wine one. I say change all you want, but at least make it better. Is it better? I do not really know. I have not gotten much past the start screen before I grabbed my Mac. The idea of getting off of addicting fossil fuels and going green and making energy efficient choices is starting to drive the world of tomorrow. Energy efficient machines, ever lessening gas mileage on cars, lower emission requirements, and more recycling than ever before are signs that the world is trying to change the way it thinks about energy consumption and conservation.
Two technologies that are currently used to harvest solar energy are the solar photovoltaic and solar thermal methods. Basically, solar photovoltaic technology PV involves the conversion of solar rays into electricity, which can then be fed into a grid or used separately to power lighting, heating and air conditioning systems as well as all the home appliances. Solar thermal technology, on the other hand, harnesses sunlight directly to produce solar power, which enables appliances such as solar cookers and water heaters to function without conventional electricity.
The best solar panels technology uses arrays of solar cells to receive sunlight and convert the same into electricity. A solar cell is basically a fine silicon wafer. PV solar panels comes in poly crystalline , mono crystalline, amorphous material and thinfilm varieties. Currently, crystalline silicon panels are the most commonly used PV systems. However, silicon is expensive and in short supply.
High production costs make silicon panels too expensive for the average consumer in India. Companies are researching alternatives such as thin film systems as well as other non — silicon options to bring down the cost of production and make PV solar panels widely accessible. Photovoltaic systems are developed using specific combinations of solar cells. Basically, PV systems are available in two designs, which are flat — plate and concentrator panels.
As of now, most of PV solar panels sold in the World are constituted of crystalline silicon cells. Solar shingles also use PV technology. These power generators are designed to look like regular roof shingles and the advantage is that they are quite often capable of providing power even when the roof is partially shaded. One of my sources said August 5 is when Windows 8. Microsoft execs said last month that the company would deliver Windows 8. I'm still hearing that Microsoft is on track to finalize Windows 8.
Unlike the case with Windows 8, however, I'm hearing scuttlebutt that Microsoft is not planning to make available the final Windows 8.
The new word, one of my best tipsters tells me, Microsoft is going to hold off on making available the final Windows 8. That will be both the general availability date, as well as the "launch" date when new hardware running those bits will be available. I had heard months ago from my sources that Microsoft's plan with Windows 8. The thinking, suposedly, was to provide existing Windows 8. Even if Microsoft waits until mid-October to release the Windows 8. Holding back the RTM bits immediately could give Microsoft other benefits.
It could give the company more time to stamp out bugs remaining at RTM and deliver fixes for them to those with the preview build via regular patches and updates.
